New App Makes Pixel 11 Pro's HiLight Feature Useful
Google's Pixel 11 Pro's HiLight notification LED, initially limited in function, is now significantly more versatile thanks to a new third-party application.
The HiLight notification LED on Google's Pixel 11 Pro is now more useful following the release of a third-party application. Previously, the feature was restricted to indicating when the phone was face down during Gemini interaction or when a call was received from a favorite contact, with only five color options.
This limited functionality represented a missed opportunity, especially considering the feature's popularity on older Android devices. Recognizing this, developer Dhananjay_Tech created the HiLight Studio app.
HiLight Studio allows users to customize the HiLight LED array for a wide range of notifications. Users can assign specific colors and patterns to alerts from various applications, such as Slack, or to other custom events.
The app aims to enhance the notification experience on the Pixel 11 Pro by providing greater control and customization over the HiLight feature, addressing user demand for more robust notification capabilities.
