New Apple TV 4K to Feature Built-in Microphone, Siri Remote to Include Speaker
Apple is expected to release a new Apple TV 4K model featuring a built-in microphone and a redesigned Siri Remote with an integrated speaker for easier location.
Apple is reportedly preparing to launch an updated Apple TV 4K device, slated for release around October 30. A key new feature will be a built-in microphone, allowing users to interact directly with Siri by voice without needing to address the remote or a separate HomePod. This contrasts with the current model, where Siri functionality is accessed via the Siri Remote or HomePod.
In addition to the device upgrade, the Siri Remote is also set to receive a redesign. The updated remote will reportedly include a built-in speaker. This feature is intended to help users find the remote if it is misplaced, such as falling between sofa cushions.
The new Apple TV 4K, alongside a revised HomePod mini, is anticipated to launch on October 30. This event is also expected to showcase the HomeView smart home hub, signaling Apple's continued focus on expanding its smart home ecosystem. Further details on pricing and availability are expected closer to the launch date.
