A new global investment platform, the New Asia Forum, aims to channel $30 billion in investments into the "New Asia" region. The inaugural event, taking place in Bali, Indonesia, from December 3-4, seeks to connect long-term capital with economic opportunities shaping Asia over the next decade.

Organized by Indonesia's state investment fund, Danantara Indonesia, in partnership with Richard Attias & Associates, the forum intends to serve as a gateway to the "New Asia" region. It aims to facilitate investment, capital formation, and economic partnerships. With Asia already generating nearly 60% of global economic growth, the forum addresses a perceived gap in long-term international capital allocation to the region.

Unlike traditional conferences, the New Asia Forum is designed to focus on transaction-readiness and capital deployment. The $30 billion target will be pursued through a curated portfolio of investment opportunities. Commitments are expected across eight strategic sectors, including strategic resources, energy, mobility, digital infrastructure, food and agriculture, trade, tourism, and education.

"Asia has for decades been perceived primarily as a destination for global capital. That narrative is changing," said Richard Attias, founder and chairman of Richard Attias & Associates. "The New Asia region will not only attract capital, but will increasingly generate, direct, and define where it can have the most impact." Indonesian Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani highlighted the forum's role in connecting long-term capital with regional opportunities.
