The New Asia Forum is set to launch in Bali, Indonesia, from December 3-4, establishing a new global platform for investment, capital formation, and economic collaboration. The forum has set a target of attracting $30 billion USD in investment for the 'New Asia' region during its inaugural session, aiming to connect long-term capital with opportunities that will define the continent's next decade.

Driven by Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Danantara Indonesia, and produced by Richard Attias & Associates, the forum's ambition is to become a primary gateway to the New Asia. It seeks to link long-term capital with projects, partnerships, and policymakers, facilitating the transformation of visions into tangible investments. The Asia-Pacific region already accounts for nearly 60% of global economic growth, yet it attracts a comparatively smaller share of international long-term capital, a gap the forum intends to address.

Unlike traditional conferences, the New Asia Forum is structured around transaction readiness, capital deployment, and execution. The $30 billion target is expected to be realized through a curated portfolio of investment-ready opportunities across eight strategic sectors. These include strategic resources and transformation, energy, mobility and advanced manufacturing, digital infrastructure and AI, food and agribusiness, trade and connectivity, tourism and the creative economy, and education and human capital.

The forum commits to tracking commitments and progress across its editions, establishing an ongoing platform for accountability, collaboration, and investment. Statements from Indonesian Minister of Investment Rosan Roeslani and forum founder Richard Attias highlighted the shift in Asia's role from a capital recipient to a capital creator and director. The inaugural event is expected to convene over 1,000 leaders for two days of discussions and deal-making.
