New Audi S3 Enhances Performance and Driving Dynamics
Audi has unveiled its updated S3 model range, featuring a more powerful engine, a torque-splitting Torque Splitter system, and a sportier design. The models are set to arrive in dealerships in the second quarter of 2024.
Ingolstadt – Audi has introduced its updated S3 model lineup, comprising both Sportback and Sedan variants. Key enhancements focus on increased performance and refined driving dynamics. The 2.0-liter TFSI engine now delivers 333 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, representing an increase of 23 horsepower and 20 Nm over its predecessor. This boosts the 0-to-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time to 4.7 seconds.
The handling capabilities of the S3 are further improved by the new quattro all-wheel-drive system, integrated with a Torque Splitter. This technology allows for fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels, optimizing grip and agility in corners according to the selected Audi drive select mode. A new "dynamic plus" driving mode is introduced, which directs maximum torque to the rear axle and prioritizes the outer rear wheel during cornering.
The exterior design has been updated to reflect the S3's sporty character. The front end features a more aggressive appearance, complemented by a sporty diffuser and a quad-pipe exhaust system at the rear. The interior includes sport seats and design elements intended to enhance the dynamic driving experience.
The new Audi S3 models will be available starting from 55,600 euros in Germany, with deliveries expected to commence in the second quarter of 2024. The update also incorporates revised steering and a standard S sport suspension that lowers the body by 15 mm.
