New Cinema Releases on June 25: Supergirl, Jackass, and Power Ballad

PRISMA-Verlag announces the cinema release of several anticipated films on June 25. The lineup features Milly Alcock as Supergirl in the new DC Universe film, Johnny Knoxville's final "Jackass" adventure, and John Carney's musical story "Power Ballad."

The "Supergirl" film is part of DC Studios' restructured plans under James Gunn and Peter Safran. Alcock, previously recognized for her role in "House of the Dragon," takes on the character of Kara Zor-El. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the movie follows Supergirl's journey as she navigates her place in the universe, encountering various beings and situations.

Jason Momoa, known for "Aquaman," also appears in the film as the bounty hunter Lobo. This "Supergirl" film is the second release following DC Universe's reorganization, succeeding "Superman" (2025).

"Jackass: Einer geht noch" (Jackass: One More Time) marks the final theatrical outing for Johnny Knoxville and his crew, promising the series' characteristic stunts and humor. Alongside this, John Carney's "Power Ballad – Der Song meines Lebens" (Power Ballad – The Song of My Life) is set to premiere, offering a narrative centered around music and human connection.

These three new releases provide a diverse cinematic offering, spanning superhero action, extreme comedy, and musical drama, contributing to the June film slate.
