New Interactive Map Showcases Costa Rica's Cultural, Natural, and Marine Heritage
Costa Rica has launched a new interactive map highlighting its cultural, natural, and marine heritage. The platform was developed in collaboration with multiple institutions.

Costa Rica now has a new tool for exploring its diverse heritage. The free platform, "Discover Costa Rica," was launched on Tuesday, aiming to showcase the country's cultural, natural, and marine assets.
The project is a collaboration between essential COSTA RICA, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, and the CIMAR-UCR and UCR School of Geography. The map offers users an interactive way to navigate the country's geopolitical and ecological landscapes, including information on national parks, protected areas, and marine zones.
The platform is intended to engage both local residents and international visitors. Its goal is to increase awareness of Costa Rica's unique biodiversity and cultural diversity. The map also includes details on historical sites and local traditions.
"Discover Costa Rica" aims to support the country's sustainable tourism strategy while also promoting scientific research. The information on the map will be regularly updated and is expected to serve as a valuable resource for education and public knowledge about the nation's natural and cultural offerings.
