New Jersey American Water Acquires Gordon's Corner Water Company
New Jersey American Water has finalized the acquisition of Gordon's Corner Water Company, adding approximately 15,300 water customers and 20 employees. The company plans $25 million in infrastructure investments.

New Jersey American Water has completed its acquisition of Gordon's Corner Water Company, incorporating roughly 15,300 water customer connections in parts of Marlboro, Manalapan, and Colts Neck Townships.
The acquisition also includes 20 employees from Gordon's Corner Water Company. New Jersey American Water announced plans to invest over $25 million in the acquired system's infrastructure within the first five years of ownership.
The deal, initially announced in October 2025, received approval from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities on July 15, 2026. The company stated the acquisition will enhance water service reliability in Monmouth County and offer customers benefits in safety, quality, and affordability.
Planned infrastructure improvements include upgrading aging customer meters, fire hydrants, and water mains. The company will also rehabilitate a water tank in Manalapan and implement enhancements to water treatment and system security.
