This sighting follows previous reports of camouflaged test vehicles in June, indicating ongoing development. While specific design details remain limited, the MPV is anticipated to adopt the characteristic design language of the Luxeed brand. It is expected to compete in the large MPV segment.
The exterior design of this forthcoming MPV appears to diverge from other models within the Zhixing family, such as the V800, V600, and V9. This suggests a potential differentiation in its market positioning or intended user experience compared to its siblings.
The development of new SUV and MPV models under the Luxeed brand is confirmed. Huawei, a key partner in the Zhixing initiative, has indicated that its smart car factory upgrades are nearing completion, preparing for the production of these new vehicles. BAIC, the manufacturing partner, has also stated that the production of these "flagship models" is in its final stages of preparation.
