New Motion, Inc. Signs Two Agreements with Index Holdings Affiliates
Digital entertainment company New Motion, Inc. has formed a joint venture for an Asian-themed mobile portal in North America and acquired mobile messaging assets from Mobliss, Inc. following agreements with Index Holdings affiliates.
Digital entertainment firm New Motion, Inc. has entered into two significant agreements with affiliate companies of Japan-based Index Holdings, a major interactive media corporation. The deals involve forming a joint venture to launch an Asian-themed mobile entertainment portal in the North American market and the acquisition of mobile messaging assets from Mobliss, Inc.
The joint venture, established with Index Visual & Games, Ltd. (IVG), aims to create a direct-to-consumer service for the North American "off-deck" mobile space. This new entity, registered as The Mobile Entertainment Channel Corporation, will operate under a consumer brand name to be announced later.
Additionally, New Motion has acquired Mobliss, Inc.'s mobile messaging assets, which provide a scalable interactive messaging platform. This acquisition is expected to broaden New Motion's ability to offer a wider range of interactive mobile services to media and entertainment companies.
According to New Motion CEO Burton Katz, these agreements facilitate a substantial expansion of their service offerings and establish a partnership with a leading global player in the interactive games and mobile sectors. Index Holdings is one of the world's largest holding companies in internet, mobile technology, and digital media.
