A recent study conducted by Evoke Strategy has found that artificial intelligence (AI) visibility in Florida's commercial construction sector is highly concentrated. The research indicates that a mere 10 companies were responsible for nearly half of all mentions generated across four leading AI platforms.

The study analyzed 100 buyer discovery prompts across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, resulting in over 3,300 company and organization mentions. Despite featuring 238 different entities, the top 10 companies captured 47.5% of all mentions. These leading companies were evenly split between five Florida-headquartered firms and five national companies with operations in the state.

Furthermore, the research highlighted significant discrepancies between the AI platforms. When the same queries were run across all four platforms, 70.4% of companies appeared on only one platform, with just 2.6% appearing on all four. This inconsistency suggests that a company's representation can vary greatly depending on the AI tool used.

Evoke Strategy noted that AI is emerging as another source for early buyer research, complementing rather than replacing traditional methods. Companies are advised to understand their representation across AI platforms to manage their overall digital visibility. The firm plans to extend this AI visibility research to other industries.
