New Robotic Electrologist Developed to Reduce Clinician Strain

LaTonya Johnson, owner and lead electrologist of Minnesota Electrolysis LLC, has developed a new robotic electrologist device to alleviate the physical strain and repetitive motion fatigue experienced by professionals in permanent hair removal.

The patent-pending device automates repetitive and physically demanding procedures. It allows the clinician to program the treatment, which is then executed by the robotic system with consistent accuracy and reduced manual intervention. Johnson states the solution minimizes strain on the practitioner's hands and wrists and reduces long-term musculoskeletal wear.

Johnson's goal is to modernize the electrolysis industry, protect the professionals performing the treatments, and expand access to safe, permanent hair removal. The unit is designed to be mobile and clinic-friendly, and it is available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
