Skirt Steak, a steakhouse located near the conclusion of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade route in Manhattan, is presenting a steak-centric alternative to the traditional turkey dinner for Thanksgiving. The restaurant has gained attention for its focused menu and accessible price point as many other New York City establishments offer more elaborate, and expensive, holiday feasts.

The restaurant's standard offering, which remains unchanged for the holiday, features prime skirt steak served with unlimited hand-cut fries and a green salad for $48. A grilled cauliflower steak with chimichurri sauce is available for non-meat eaters. This approach contrasts with typical Thanksgiving prix fixe menus in the city, which often feature multiple courses and can cost upwards of $120 to $135 per person.

The menu concept is a creation of Chef Tourondel, who also leads the sister restaurant L'Amico. Skirt Steak is situated near Madison Square Garden, positioning it as a convenient location for those attending events. The restaurant primarily operates on a walk-in basis for parties of up to six, with reservations available for larger groups.

By maintaining its everyday format, Skirt Steak aims to provide a straightforward and value-driven dining experience for Thanksgiving, avoiding the higher markups and extensive reservation demands often associated with holiday dining.
