Vancouver, BC – Newcore Gold Ltd. has announced new drilling results from its Enchi Gold Project in Ghana, indicating a significant expansion of gold mineralization. Drilling at the Kwakyekrom Gold Target returned 0.61 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) over 50.0 metres, including an interval of 1.36 g/t Au over 9.0 metres.

The results extend the known mineralization both down-dip and along strike. Specifically, the findings extend mineralization 500 metres south of previous drilling, increasing the total drilled strike extent at Kwakyekrom to 1.3 kilometres. This target is situated within a large, gold-in-soil anomaly on surface measuring four kilometres by one to two kilometres.

Additionally, metallurgical testwork on samples from Kwakyekrom has yielded encouraging results. Bottle roll tests achieved an average gold recovery of 79.8%. Kwakyekrom is noted as one of the most advanced exploration targets at Enchi, currently without a defined gold resource.

Newcore Gold is finalizing an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the project, with completion anticipated by the end of the second quarter of 2021. These results are part of an ongoing 66,000-metre drill program at the Enchi property.
