Newmark Appoints Mike Whitaker as Group Chief Information Officer
Commercial real estate advisor Newmark Group, Inc. has appointed Mike Whitaker as its Group Chief Information Officer. He will report to the COO and oversee the company's technology, data, and information strategy.
New York – Newmark Group, Inc., a commercial real estate advisory firm, announced the appointment of Mike Whitaker as its Group Chief Information Officer. Whitaker will report to Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado and collaborate with Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Lutnick to advance the company's technology, data, and information strategy.
In his new role, Whitaker will provide strategic oversight for technology, data, and information initiatives across Newmark's businesses. His responsibilities include aligning enterprise technology strategy with the company's long-term growth objectives and operational priorities. Sridhar Potineni, previously the Chief Information Officer, will now report to Whitaker.

Whitaker joins Newmark from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he served as Group Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, he held senior technology leadership roles at Citi for 15 years, as well as at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital. Newmark is a global commercial real estate advisor that generated over $3.6 billion in revenue for the twelve months ended June 30, 2026.
