Newmark Appoints Mike Whitaker as Group Chief Information Officer
Newmark Group, Inc. announced the appointment of Mike Whitaker as its Group Chief Information Officer. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado.
New York – September 28, 2026 – Newmark Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: NMRK), a commercial real estate advisory firm, announced that Mike Whitaker has been appointed as the company's Group Chief Information Officer.
Whitaker will report to Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado and will work closely with Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Lutnick to advance Newmark's technology, data, and information strategy. He will also join the Company's Executive Committee.
In his new role, Whitaker will provide strategic oversight of technology, data, and information initiatives across Newmark's businesses. His responsibilities will include aligning enterprise technology strategy with the company's long-term growth objectives and operational priorities. Sridhar Potineni, Newmark's current Chief Information Officer, and the technology leadership team will report to Whitaker.
Whitaker joins Newmark from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he served as Group Chief Information Officer and previously as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he held senior technology leadership roles at Citi for 15 years, and also held positions at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital.
