Newsletter platform Beehiiv adds subscriber chat and AI assistant

Newsletter platform Beehiiv is expanding its offerings with the introduction of a Community feature, allowing subscribers of a creator to directly chat with each other. The company also unveiled its AI Copilot, a tool designed to assist creators in managing and growing their audience.

These updates position Beehiiv as a platform extending beyond traditional newsletters. In recent months, the company has added podcast hosting, webinar capabilities, and customizable paywalls. Notably, Beehiiv reports that 50% of its podcast users have migrated their shows to the platform from other services.

The new Community tool enables creators to establish discussion forums directly within the Beehiiv platform. Previously, creators often relied on external services like Discord, Slack, or Facebook groups for community engagement. Beehiiv aims to consolidate these interactions onto its own service. The platform also allows creators to establish tiered paid memberships for access to exclusive chatrooms and to moderate conversations.

The AI Copilot is intended to help creators with audience analytics, growth strategies, and content creation. It will provide suggestions and data to aid creators in increasing subscriber numbers and enhancing audience engagement.
