Nexans awarded contract for East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm cables
Nexans will supply and install high-voltage subsea export cables for ScottishPower Renewables' East Anglia TWO wind farm in the southern North Sea. The project aims to power nearly one million UK homes.

Nexans has secured a contract with ScottishPower Renewables to provide high-voltage subsea export cables for the East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm. The project, located in the southern North Sea, is expected to be completed by the end of 2028 and will contribute to the UK's renewable energy targets.
The East Anglia TWO wind farm will have a capacity of up to 960MW, sufficient to power the equivalent of almost one million UK homes. As part of the agreement, Nexans will supply and install approximately 100 kilometers of 275kV subsea export cables and 55 kilometers of onshore cables to connect the wind farm to the national grid.
Manufacturing of the cables will take place at Nexans' facilities in Halden, Norway, and Charleroi, Belgium. The cable installation is scheduled for 2027 and 2028. ScottishPower Renewables is part of the Iberdrola Group, which previously contracted Nexans for the East Anglia ONE project.
This contract reinforces Nexans' role in the offshore wind sector, building on its experience with previous projects. The East Anglia TWO project represents a significant investment for ScottishPower in expanding green energy generation in the UK.
