Nexans Completes Cable Installation for Dieppe-Le Tréport Offshore Wind Farm
Nexans has completed a key phase in the grid connection for the Dieppe–Le Tréport offshore wind farm in France. The project advances the nation's renewable energy generation capabilities.

Nexans has finalized a significant stage in connecting the Dieppe–Le Tréport offshore wind farm to the French power grid for client RTE (Réseau de Transport d’Électricité). The wind farm is set to generate up to 496 MW of renewable electricity, enough to power approximately 850,000 homes.
The contract, awarded in March 2022, covers the turnkey delivery of export cables, both offshore and onshore. Nexans is responsible for the design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and protection of the 225 kV power cables. The company will also provide long-term inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) services.
The recent installation campaign, completed this spring, involved over 100 personnel and 15 vessels. Operations were led by Nexans' cable-laying vessel CS Skagerrak. Key activities included preparing subsea cable routes and pulling the cables ashore through strong tidal currents.
Located in the English Channel, the wind farm is positioned to contribute significantly to France's energy transition and independence goals. The final phase, involving the connection of export cables to the offshore substation, is scheduled for August, followed by commissioning.
