Nexans, a global leader in the cable industry, announced upcoming changes to its Board of Directors. The Board will propose to the General Meeting on May 16, 2024, the renewal of Jane Basson's term as an independent director.

Additionally, the Board proposes the appointment of Tamara de Gruyter as a new independent director, succeeding Sylvie Jéhanno, who is stepping down due to increasing commitments. De Gruyter will also serve as a "Censeur" (auditor), attending all board meetings.

Tamara de Gruyter brings extensive international experience from the technology sector. She currently serves as President Portfolio Business and is a member of the executive committee at Wärtsilä, a Finnish company. Her career at Wärtsilä includes various leadership roles in maritime services and digital industries, with prior experience in China and Singapore.

Furthermore, the European Works Council has appointed Elisabetta Iaconantonio as an employee representative director, replacing Bjorn Erik Nyborg. Nexans expressed gratitude to the departing members for their contributions and welcomed the new appointees.
