Nexans Reports 4.1% Organic Sales Growth in Q1 2025
Cable manufacturer Nexans announced its first-quarter 2025 financial results, with standard sales reaching €1,815.4 million, marking a 4.1% organic increase year-on-year.

French cable systems manufacturer Nexans has reported a solid start to 2025, with first-quarter standard sales reaching €1,815.4 million. This represents a 4.1% organic growth compared to the first quarter of 2024.
The company's electrification segment was a key driver, posting 6.8% organic growth. The Power Transmission business, particularly focused on subsea cables, achieved double-digit growth. Nexans' backlog for this segment stood at a record €8.1 billion at the end of March.
Significant contract wins were announced, including a framework agreement valued at over €1 billion with France's RTE for high-voltage subsea cables connecting offshore wind farms. In late April, Nexans also secured a contract from Interconnect Malta (ICM) for Malta's second interconnector cable.
Nexans confirmed its full-year 2025 financial guidance. The company anticipates adjusted EBITDA to be between €770 million and €850 million, with free cash flow projected between €225 million and €325 million.
The company stated that recent US tariffs announced in April are not expected to have a material impact due to Nexans' limited exposure in the US market.
