Nexans Separates Specialty Industrial Cable Operations into New Entity Lynxeo

Cable manufacturer Nexans has announced the business separation of its specialty industrial cable operations, previously known as Nexans Industry Solutions & Projects. The new entity will operate under the name Lynxeo and remains part of the Nexans group. This move aligns with Nexans' broader 'Electrify the Future' strategy.

Lynxeo comprises 2,000 employees across nine countries and reports annual standard sales exceeding 700 million euros. The standalone company will focus on serving critical infrastructure industries, including railways, rolling stock, automation, shipbuilding, wind energy, aerospace, and healthcare.

The separation aims to provide increased market clarity and strengthen Lynxeo's role as a fully integrated player. "This step positions Lynxeo as a leader in specialty cables while reaffirming Nexans' role as a leader in electrification to support the climate transition," stated Nexans CEO Christopher Guérin.

Leveraging over 100 years of heritage, Lynxeo will continue to be a strategic partner to its clients, providing high-value-added services and products. The company operates a global manufacturing presence across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
