Nexity reaches 2,100 units under Bail Réel Solidaire model
Nexity has surpassed 2,100 housing units developed through the Bail Réel Solidaire (BRS) scheme, which provides home ownership at rates 25-40% below market prices.
Property developer Nexity announced it has reached a milestone of 2,100 homes committed under the Bail Réel Solidaire (BRS) program. The scheme, which began five years ago with a pilot project in Villeurbanne, decouples the ownership of the building from the land to lower acquisition costs for residents.
Under the BRS model, buyers benefit from prices that are 25% to 40% lower than standard market rates. The model is specifically targeted at middle-income households who are increasingly priced out of urban centers. By retaining control of the land through a collective structure, the program aims to ensure long-term housing affordability.
This development comes as major French developers look for alternative housing models to address supply and affordability challenges. Nexity continues to position the BRS model as a key component of its residential development strategy.
