NIB and Trondheim Municipality agree infrastructure and public services financing
The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has signed a NOK 3.0 billion (approximately EUR 273 million) 20-year uncommitted credit facility with Trondheim Municipality. The loan is intended to finance the municipality's investment programme for 2026–2029.

The investment programme will target key areas of public service and infrastructure development. These include the enhancement of educational facilities and healthcare services, such as nursing homes.
Furthermore, the funds will be allocated to upgrade and expand the municipality's water and wastewater infrastructure. The projects aim to address growing demand and ensure the continued provision of essential public services to the residents of Trondheim.
