NIB finances Verda Cloud's supercomputing capacity in Finland
The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has granted Verda Cloud Oy a EUR 22 million loan to invest in high-performance computing infrastructure to be deployed in Finland.

The Nordic Investment Bank (NIB) has provided Verda Cloud Oy, a cloud services company, with a EUR 22 million loan. The four-year loan, backed by the EU's InvestEU program, will fund investments in high-performance computing infrastructure.
The financing will be used to acquire graphics processing units (GPUs) and related networking and storage equipment. These acquisitions will enable the development of new servers with high-performance computing capacity, and are planned to be deployed in data centers primarily in Finland.
The project aims to bolster European digital infrastructure and support the development of an EU-based cloud service provider. This investment is expected to enhance European digital sovereignty and provide capacity for demanding computational tasks.
Verda Cloud Oy intends to offer efficient cloud computing capacity to businesses and research institutions. The funding will allow the company to expand its service offerings and meet the growing demand for specialized computing services.
