Nicolas Chilla to lead DEVK's health insurance division
Nicolas Chilla has taken over as head of the health insurance division at DEVK Versicherungen as of June 1. He previously led the company's regional directorate in Berlin.
Nicolas Chilla has been appointed as the new head of DEVK Versicherungen's health insurance division, effective June 1, 2026. He transitions into this role from his position leading the company's regional directorate in Berlin, with Salima Laux succeeding him there.
In his new capacity, Chilla will concentrate on a core business area, working closely with the boards of DEVK Krankenversicherungs-AG, Dirk Kopisch and Martin Wierer. His focus will be on supplementary health insurance policies for those already covered by statutory insurance. Chilla joined DEVK in 2005 and has held various positions across Germany, including leadership roles in claims and internal services.
Salima Laux will lead DEVK's internal services at the Berlin regional directorate, overseeing approximately 95 employees. She moves to Berlin from Cologne, where she has been with DEVK since 2012. Laux has a background in claims handling, including motor and property claims, and most recently managed the property damage department since 2023.
DEVK Versicherungen is a German insurance provider with a history spanning over 140 years, offering a comprehensive range of insurance products. The company serves around 4.2 million customers across Germany.
