Nicole Seligman Appointed Chair of Schwarzman Animal Medical Center Board

The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) has appointed Nicole Seligman as the new Chair of its Board of Trustees. Seligman, bringing over four decades of experience in legal, business, and nonprofit leadership, has been serving as the board's co-chair since 2023.

Her appointment follows a period of significant transformation at AMC, including the successful completion of a $127 million capital campaign and an 83,000-square-foot expansion and renovation. These initiatives have enhanced the hospital's capacity for advanced veterinary care, education, and research. Robert "Bobby" Liberman, who previously served as Chair and co-chair with Seligman, will continue as a Trustee and has been named Chair Emeritus.

AMC, the world's largest veterinary teaching hospital and New York City's only Level 1 veterinary trauma center, is poised to enter its next strategic chapter under Seligman's leadership. Her extensive background includes roles as Executive Vice President and Global General Counsel for Sony Corporation and President of Sony Entertainment. She also holds board positions at OpenAI and chairs The Doe Fund.

"As Board Co-Chair, Nicole has been an incredible leader and colleague," said Robert Liberman, Chair Emeritus of AMC. "I am confident that under Nicole's leadership, AMC will continue to be at the forefront of veterinary medicine." AMC CEO Helen Irving highlighted Seligman's contributions during the recent transformation and expressed gratitude for Liberman's decades of service.
