The original decision by the Administrative Court in Luleå, which rejected the appeal for an extension of the permit validity periods, was made on August 19, 2025. Nidhogg Resources then pursued the case to the appeals court.
The permits are held by Big Rock Mineral AB. Nidhogg Resources holds a 10 percent stake in Big Rock Mineral and has an option to increase its share through an earn-in agreement with Big Rock Energy AB.
The rejection means Nidhogg Resources cannot proceed with extending its exploration activities for these specific permits, potentially impacting future mineral exploration plans in the Falun Municipality area.
