Nigerian platform Cirrden enables creators to monetize their existing audiences
Nigerian platform Cirrden allows creators to earn directly from their audience, instead of relying on advertising revenue or brand deals.

Nigerian technology startup Cirrden has launched a platform enabling creators to earn revenue directly from their followers. Founder Goodness Ezeokafor aims to address the uncertainties in traditional earning models like ad revenue and brand deals for African creators.
Cirrden allows video creators to upload their videos individually or in playlists and monetize them directly. The platform also supports paid communities, where fans can join their favorite creators' paid circles through subscriptions or individual video purchases. Funds earned by users accumulate in a Cirrden wallet, from which they can be withdrawn to a local bank account.
"The core idea is simple – make more money from the audience you already have," Ezeokafor stated. He highlighted that commonly used platforms like Patreon face payment and currency conversion difficulties in Africa, with ad views being undervalued. This leads many creators to resort to informal methods like direct messages and manual bank transfers.
Cirrden's adoption has grown rapidly without paid acquisition. The platform already boasts nearly 8,000 users and over 1,000 creators. The company is now raising pre-seed funding to accelerate growth and expand into new markets. Beyond Nigeria, plans include expansion into Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, and the United States, particularly targeting the African diaspora.
