Nintendo announces Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2
Nintendo confirmed a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2, scheduled for release on November 5.

Nintendo plans to release a remade version of its 1998 title, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, for the Switch 2 console on November 5. The updated game introduces revised visual aesthetics alongside technical modifications, including a dedicated jump button, a sprint mechanic, and full voice acting.
While the project integrates modern quality-of-life adjustments, such as a progress-tracking feature titled "Threads of Time," developers have stated the core gameplay mechanics remain consistent with the original Nintendo 64 release. The launch will be supported by themed hardware, featuring a special edition Switch 2 console and an accompanying Pro Controller with Triforce-inspired branding.
The release strategy places the title in direct competition with major late-year software launches within the gaming industry. Pre-orders are currently available with a promotional discount, ahead of the November arrival.
