Nintendo releases Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary Switch 2

Nintendo has officially released a special edition of its Switch 2 console alongside a dedicated Pro controller, themed around the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. The console is currently listed on Nintendo’s Hong Kong online storefront at 3,699 yuan, with the Pro controller priced at 639 yuan.

Consumers should note that the console bundle does not include the game itself. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake, which aligns with the console's branding, is sold separately for 383 yuan.

This release continues Nintendo's long-standing strategy of integrating franchise aesthetics into its hardware. Since the 2004 release of a Zelda-themed Game Boy Advance SP, the company has frequently issued commemorative consoles for major handheld and home system releases, including the DS, 3DS, Wii U, and previous Switch iterations.
