Nintendo Releases Splatoon Spinoff Game 'Splatoon: Splat Jr.'
Nintendo has released Splatoon: Splat Jr., the first spinoff in its Splatoon series. The game launched today with prices starting at HK$379 in Hong Kong.

Nintendo officially launched Splatoon: Splat Jr. today, the first spinoff title in its third-person shooter Splatoon series. The game is available in various regions, with prices starting at HK$379 (approximately ¥327.8 RMB) in Hong Kong and between ¥6,480-¥7,480 (approximately ¥269.4-¥310.9 RMB) in Japan.
While Nintendo has described the game as primarily a single-player experience, it does include cooperative gameplay elements. Players can team up with up to three friends for local or online cooperative play.
Critical reception for Splatoon: Splat Jr. has been positive, earning an 81 aggregate score from MetaCritic and 83 from OpenCritic. These scores align with the series’ main entries, which have received aggregate scores of 81 for the original Splatoon and 83 for Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3.
Bundled hardware was also released alongside the game. In Japan, a Nintendo Switch 2 bundle was made available, featuring special edition Joy-Con controllers in blue and light yellow. Additionally, Amiibo figures for the game’s characters are also being sold separately.
