NIO completes battery swap network coverage in Yangtze River Delta region
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO has announced the complete coverage of its battery swap network across all counties in the Yangtze River Delta region. The expansion includes 1,412 stations in the area.
Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO has announced a significant expansion of its battery swapping network within the Yangtze River Delta, a key economic hub in China. The company has now achieved coverage in every county within the region, enhancing convenience for its EV owners.
The latest station was launched at the Qimen Low-carbon Science and Innovation Park in Anhui Province. This milestone means Anhui Province is now fully covered by NIO's battery swap network, with a total of 216 stations deployed across 104 counties.
Across the entire Yangtze River Delta region, NIO has now established a total of 1,412 battery swap stations, serving 303 counties. The company has also focused on highway infrastructure, deploying 289 stations along expressways. This provides an average of one NIO station every 100 kilometers on major routes, facilitating longer journeys.
Nationally, NIO has built 1,052 highway battery swap stations, connecting major city clusters. As of now, NIO operates a total of 9,317 charging facilities in China, comprising 4,067 battery swap stations and 5,250 charging stations with 30,272 charging piles.
