Nio Exceeds 100 Million Charging Sessions
Nio announced it has surpassed 100 million charging sessions across its network. The company stated that 86.67% of the electricity dispensed served users of brands other than Nio.
Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio has announced reaching a significant milestone, with its charging services exceeding 100 million sessions. According to the company's data, a substantial 86.67% of the electricity provided through these sessions was delivered to users of automotive brands other than Nio, highlighting the open nature of its charging infrastructure.
Nio operates an extensive network in China, comprising 9,522 battery-swapping and charging stations. This includes 5,361 dedicated charging stations with 30,892 charging piles, and 4,161 battery-swapping stations that have facilitated over 126 million swaps.
The company's investment in infrastructure aims to support not only Nio vehicle owners but also the broader adoption of electric vehicles by offering services to a wider user base. This open approach to charging infrastructure is seen as a move to support the overall growth of the EV market.
Earlier in October, Nio's battery-swapping stations recorded a daily record of 183,469 swaps. This equates to an average of one swap occurring every 0.47 seconds for vehicles under the Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands.
