NIO Reports Record 183,469 Battery Swaps in One Day
Electric vehicle manufacturer NIO announced it completed 183,469 battery swap operations on October 1, setting a new daily record. This equates to an average of one swap every 0.47 seconds.
Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO announced on October 2 that it achieved a record 183,469 battery swap operations on October 1. The company stated that this represents an average of one swap completed every 0.47 seconds for NIO, LeSee, and Firefly branded vehicles.
The top three stations for daily swap volume were the Ulanqab Yisheng International NIO station (146 swaps), Qinhuangdao Xinshiji Park NIO station (146 swaps), and Chengde Qingchui Peak National Forest Park NIO station (142 swaps).
NIO has built a network of 9,515 charging and battery swap stations nationwide, facilitating over 220 million charging and swap services. Of these, 4,160 are dedicated battery swap stations, which have collectively performed more than 126 million swaps.
The company has also established a national highway battery swap network comprising 1,073 stations. NIO reports this network connects over 550 cities and enables battery swaps that cover all provincial-level administrative regions in mainland China.
