NioBay Commences Summer Field Work on Projects

NioBay Metals has begun its 2026 summer field campaign, initiating a drilling program at its Crevier project located approximately 50 km north of Girardville, Quebec. This campaign aims to build upon the results from 2025, which led to an updated resource estimate published in February 2026.

The drilling program will consist of a minimum of 5,000 meters. Key objectives include verifying if the 2023 tantalum-rich discovery in the north sector can connect to the main zone, converting the 2025 southern discovery into measured resources, and testing for deeper mineralization within the main zone. NioBay is also launching an inspection and geophysical survey campaign at its James Bay Niobium project in Ontario.

The company highlighted that the Crevier project's work will be conducted by a First Nations drilling contractor, Premières Nations de Mashteuiatsh, with geological supervision by IOS Services Géoscientifiques. Local suppliers are also involved in providing camp and food services, reflecting NioBay's commitment to community partnerships.

Jean-Sébastien David, President and CEO of NioBay Metals, noted the rising price of tantalum oxide and the increasing motivation to investigate the Crevier site further. He also mentioned significant interest from visiting delegations eager to see the project's potential. NioBay Metals is committed to environmental stewardship, sustainable development, and Indigenous inclusion in its operations.
