Nirvana Recovery Center Names Executive Director, Adds Five Staff Members

Nirvana Recovery Center has named Casey Strauss executive director and introduced five additional team members at its Phoenix treatment center. These appointments aim to improve the process for individuals seeking care, from initial contact through program participation.

Strauss joins President Michael Trychon on the leadership team. The expansion also includes Daniel Melendez as director of business development, Andrew Angichiodo as a clinician, Joshua Byrum as a group facilitator, and Vanessa Curley and Shannan King as admissions coordinators.

"People often meet a treatment center at a difficult moment, when they need clear answers and a team they can trust," said Michael Trychon, president. "These appointments bring together the leadership, program, and admissions roles involved in that experience. Our priority is to make each step understandable and responsive to the person seeking help."

The Phoenix-based center offers substance use treatment, including residential care for Arizona residents and clients nationwide, alongside partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Aftercare support is also provided.

Strauss stated, "Our work starts by listening carefully to what someone needs and explaining the available next steps. That applies whether the first conversation is with a prospective client, a family member, or a referral professional. I look forward to working with this team to carry that approach through the treatment experience."
