Niutech develops technology for titanium-iron waste processing

Niutech, a global provider of industrial continuous pyrolysis technology, has announced a technological advancement in mining waste processing. The company has developed a new generation of technology and complete equipment designed to recover valuable materials from low-grade titanium-iron waste. A national expert organization has assessed the technology as reaching an "international leading level."

A demonstration project with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons is under construction in Linyi, in China's Shandong province. This project utilizes the new technology to produce titanium-rich materials from waste. Once completed, it is expected to serve as a key demonstration initiative in Asia for the ecological utilization of strategic mineral resources.

The new equipment is designed based on the principles of "safety, environmental protection, low carbon footprint, and high efficiency," according to Niutech. It integrates a "synergistic low-temperature pyrolysis combined with in-situ reduction" technology, which is expected to bring significant advancements in temperature control, waste heat recovery, and intelligent system management.

The technology uses plastic waste and other organic waste as reducing agents, generating reducing gas through low-temperature pyrolysis. This enables in-situ reduction of waste within a unique, integrated system. Niutech highlights three primary advantages: continuous low-temperature reduction below 700°C, high energy efficiency with over 93% waste heat recovery, and intelligent, safe operation with coordinated temperature control and dynamic sealing.
