Niutech to Supply Plastic Waste Pyrolysis Plant for Aviation Fuel Production
Chinese firm Niutech has signed a contract with a global energy major for an industrial plastic waste pyrolysis line. The plant, located in Jinan, will produce sustainable aviation fuel.
Niutech Technology Group Co., Ltd., a global provider of continuous industrial pyrolysis solutions, has signed a sales contract with a major global energy company for an industrial-scale plastic waste pyrolysis line. The agreement focuses on converting plastic waste into feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
The facility will be located in Jinan, China, and will employ a continuous pyrolysis process to treat plastic waste. The aim is to produce a fuel equivalent to jet fuel, thereby reducing the aviation industry's carbon footprint.
Niutech specializes in industrial pyrolysis solutions and has previously supplied systems for waste treatment and the chemical industry. This contract represents a significant development for the company in the sustainable fuel solutions market.
The name of the energy major involved in the agreement has not been disclosed. The collaboration is expected to advance the circular economy and lessen reliance on fossil fuels within the aviation sector.
