Niutech Unveils New Technology for Mineral Waste Recovery
Chinese company Niutech has launched its next-generation technology and equipment for the recovery of strategic minerals from industrial waste, focusing on titanium-iron residues. The system promises enhanced efficiency and low-carbon mineral processing.

Niutech, a global leader in industrial continuous pyrolysis technology, has introduced its new generation of technology and equipment for the reduction and enrichment of titanium-iron waste. This independently developed system is designed for the recovery of strategic minerals from complex, low-grade titanium-iron residues. A demonstration project with a capacity of 300,000 tons per year is currently under construction in Linyi, Shandong Province.
The technology utilizes plastic waste and other organic residues as reducing agents. Through low-temperature pyrolysis, it generates a reducing gas for in situ reduction of waste within a single integrated system. This approach combines solid waste treatment, enrichment, and energy circulation, challenging the traditional requirement for high temperatures in efficient reduction.
Key advantages of the new production line include continuous low-temperature reduction below 700°C, achieving over 50% reduction rate with significantly lower energy consumption compared to traditional smelting. It boasts over 93% waste heat recovery, a more than 36% reduction in energy usage, and approximately 40% lower CO2 emissions. The operation is designed for safety and intelligence, enabling stable, large-scale continuous production.
