NjiaPay Launches One-Click Payments for Merchants
South African payment performance partner NjiaPay has launched a "one-click payments" feature aimed at streamlining online transactions and reducing cart abandonment.

South African payment performance partner NjiaPay has introduced a "one-click payments" feature for merchants, enabling consumers a fast and convenient way to pay without re-entering card details or undergoing additional steps like 3-D Secure verification.
NjiaPay, which spun out of South African international calling startup Talk360 as its own entity in December 2024, provides payment-as-a-service with the goal of empowering African businesses through a seamless, secure, and scalable payments management platform. The company secured $2.1 million in seed funding in March.
The company acts as a neutral orchestration layer on top of a merchant's existing payment service providers (PSPs). Through a single API, it intelligently routes transactions in real time, selects the best-performing provider, and consolidates performance data into a unified view. Rather than replacing PSPs, NjiaPay coordinates them to maximize successful payment outcomes and reduce operational friction.
The payment method is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant, meeting the highest security requirements. After a customer's first successfully authenticated payment, NjiaPay provides the merchant with a payment-provider-agnostic token instead of actual card information. This token can be reused for future payments, but only on that merchant's platform, minimizing the risk of sensitive card data exposure.
