NKT signs multi-year power cable supply agreement with Denmark's N1
Cable manufacturer NKT has secured three framework agreements to supply low- and medium-voltage power cables to the Danish operator N1.
NKT has entered into three separate framework agreements with the Danish distribution system operator N1. The contracts, which commenced in the third quarter of 2026, stipulate the supply of low- and medium-voltage power cables rated up to 72 kV.
The agreements span an initial term of six years, with provisions for two additional one-year extensions. This collaboration is set to facilitate N1's ongoing efforts to modernize and expand the regional electricity grid in Denmark to meet increasing demand.
For NKT, the contract solidifies its position within the Nordic infrastructure supply chain. By securing these long-term commitments, the company ensures a steady stream of activity in its medium-voltage segment, supporting the broader transition toward electrified heating and transport systems.
