Nobis Opens Copenhagen Hotel in Historic Building
Nobis Hospitality Group is expanding beyond Sweden with a new hotel opening in Copenhagen this September. The property is housed in a former Royal Danish Academy of Music building.
Nobis Hospitality Group is set to open its first hotel outside of Stockholm and Sweden in Copenhagen this September. The new establishment, Nobis Hotel Copenhagen, is located in a historic landmark building at 1 Niels Brocks Gade in the heart of the Danish capital.
The building, originally constructed in 1903 as one of the Danish capital's first concrete structures and designed by architect Martin Borch, previously served as an insurance company headquarters and later housed the Royal Danish Academy of Music. It is a well-recognized landmark among Copenhagen residents.
Swedish architectural firm Wingårdh Arkitekter, led by architect Gert Wingårdh, has undertaken the transformation of the prominent edifice into a contemporary luxury hotel. The renovation project has focused on respecting and enhancing the building's original architectural elements and grandeur, incorporating high-quality natural materials like marble and wood.
The hotel's rooms feature saturated blue and green tones, with chevron-patterned parquet flooring and tall white window niches. The opening of Nobis Hotel Copenhagen signifies the group's strategic expansion into a new international market.
