NODWIN Gaming Launches Sports Vertical, Ex-Adidas Executive to Lead

Indian gaming company NODWIN Gaming has launched a new sports division named NODWIN Sports. This move expands the company's operations beyond gaming and esports, aiming to build a broader youth-focused media and entertainment business.
The new vertical will focus on developing sporting properties, mass-participation events, and commercial partnerships. It will also advise sports federations and governing bodies, and provide operational and production support for sporting events. NODWIN Sports plans to expand from India into other markets in the Global South.
Gurbaksh Singh Virdi has joined NODWIN Gaming to lead the new vertical. Virdi has prior experience in sports marketing across companies including Red Bull, PUMA, and Adidas India. Most recently, he served as the lead for sports marketing at Adidas India.
NODWIN Gaming is simultaneously preparing for a potential initial public offering (IPO). The company previously indicated it aims to raise approximately $100 million in a pre-IPO funding round. Founded in 2014 by Akshat Rathee and Gautam Virk, NODWIN Gaming operates in over 20 countries.
