Nokia expands segment solutions for manufacturing and logistics digital transformation
Nokia Oyj has launched new segment solutions to guide manufacturing and logistics companies in implementing Industry 4.0 use cases. The solutions aim to accelerate digitalization and improve productivity.
Espoo, Finland – Nokia Oyj announced on April 22, 2024, the release of new pre-tested and integrated segment solutions. These offerings are designed to guide manufacturing and logistics enterprises through their digital transformation journey towards Industry 4.0.
The solutions aim to assist companies in achieving strategic goals and realizing return on investment (ROI). They leverage Nokia's industry-specific expertise and build upon the company's industrial digitalization platform, which includes 4.9G/LTE and 5G private wireless connectivity, industrial edge computing, and neutral application ecosystems.
Industry studies have highlighted barriers to digital transformation, such as a lack of alignment between IT and OT teams and insufficient technological expertise. Nokia's solutions address these challenges by providing ready-made frameworks for use cases like automated guided vehicles (AGVs), process automation, predictive maintenance, and enhanced safety.
Nokia's existing segment solutions cover the digitalization of ports, mining, utilities, and airports. The company has over 30 years of experience in delivering critical communication solutions and has deployed private wireless networks for more than 730 customers across various industries.
