Nokia Launches Application-Optimized Optical Solutions for AI Networks

Espoo, Finland – Nokia Oyj announced a new portfolio of optical networking innovations designed to meet the scale and application diversity demands driven by the AI era. The solutions aim to enhance network efficiency and reduce operational costs.
The company's new offerings address the accelerating demands of AI traffic and data center interconnects (DCI), which are pushing the limits of traditional network approaches. Nokia's strategy focuses on application-specific optimization to maximize performance while minimizing cost, space, and power consumption.
Key innovations include a suite of coherent optical solutions and a compact, multi-fiber-optimized in-line amplifier. Nokia executives will present the company's vision for optical networking in the AI era at the OFC conference in Los Angeles.
