Nokia reorganizes leadership, creates Technology and AI unit
Nokia announced leadership changes and the creation of two new organizations, Technology and AI (TAO) and Corporate Development (CDO), to enhance innovation and business development.

Espoo, Finland – Nokia announced significant leadership changes and the establishment of two new organizations on Wednesday, aiming to bolster its technological innovation and business development capabilities. The company is creating a Technology and AI Organization (TAO) and a Corporate Development Organization (CDO), both effective October 1, 2025.
President and CEO Justin Hotard stated the changes are crucial for the company's success in the AI era. The TAO will combine Nokia Bell Labs, Technology and AI Leadership, and Group Security. Pallavi Mahajan, former Corporate Vice President and General Manager at Intel, has been appointed to lead this unit, bringing extensive experience in networks, software, and AI.
The CDO will focus on areas such as corporate development, strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and incubation activities. Konstanty Owczarek, who previously held strategy and business development roles at HPE, will head this organization. Both Mahajan and Owczarek will join Nokia's Group Leadership Team on October 1.
Nishant Batra, current Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, will step down from the Group Leadership Team on September 30. Hotard acknowledged Batra's contributions to transforming Nokia Bell Labs and advancing the company's innovation strategy.
