Nokia to Upgrade Stealth Communications Core Network

Nokia Oyj has announced it will upgrade the metro core network for Stealth Communications, an internet service provider operating in New York City. The project is designed to boost network capacity and scalability, enabling Stealth Communications to deliver high-speed 100GE and 400GE services to its business clients in multi-tenant buildings.

Stealth Communications serves a diverse clientele across sectors such as finance, real estate, education, and government through its 80-mile fiber-optic system. The network upgrade, including the implementation of 400GE connectivity, is crucial for ensuring service reliability. Nokia will deploy its 7750 Service Router (SR) platforms, which utilize the company's FP5 routing silicon. Initial deployment will feature FP4 line cards, with future capabilities for up to 800GE.

Furthermore, Stealth Communications has chosen Nokia's Deepfield Defender solution for Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection. This system employs deep analytics and artificial intelligence to detect and mitigate attacks in real-time at the network edge, minimizing disruptions for both Stealth Communications and its customers.

Shrihari Pandit, President and CEO of Stealth Communications, highlighted Nokia as the right partner for expanding network capacity and flexibility. Vach Kompella, Vice President of Nokia's IP Networks Division, stated that the upgrade will allow Stealth Communications to meet growing customer demand for new internet services while improving performance and security.
