NOMOS Glashütte Launches Ludwig Watch to Support Doctors Without Borders

NOMOS Glashütte, the German watch manufacturer based in Glashütte, has introduced two new, limited-edition versions of its classic Ludwig watch. The proceeds from the sale of these timepieces will be directly donated to the German branch of the humanitarian aid organization Doctors Without Borders, supporting their global efforts.

The "Ludwig neomatik für Ärzte ohne Grenzen" collection features two automatic watch sizes, with case diameters of 36.4 mm and 38.5 mm. Each model is strictly limited to 250 pieces. The design maintains NOMOS's characteristic aesthetic, notably featuring a red Roman numeral at the twelve o'clock position, symbolizing solidarity.

NOMOS Glashütte has been a partner of Doctors Without Borders since 2012. To date, the company has sold over 11,000 watches in support of the organization's work, raising a total of 125,000 euros. Doctors Without Borders, known internationally for providing medical aid in crisis zones and disaster areas across more than 70 countries, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999.

The new Ludwig watches are powered by NOMOS's in-house automatic caliber DUW 3001, manufactured at the company's facility in Glashütte. The case backs are engraved with "Ludwig special model for Doctors Without Borders" to commemorate the organization's mission.
