NOMOS Glashütte Releases Limited Edition Ludwig neomatik Watch for Charity
Watchmaker NOMOS Glashütte has introduced a limited edition of its Ludwig neomatik automatic watch. Proceeds from sales will support the Doctors Without Borders organization.
German watchmaker NOMOS Glashütte has released a special edition of its classic Ludwig neomatik automatic watch. The collection is part of the company's ongoing partnership with Doctors Without Borders. Two new models, Ludwig neomatik and Ludwig neomatik 39, have been produced in a total limited run of 500 pieces, with 250 of each.
The proceeds from the sale of these watches, totaling €125,000, will be directly donated to the organization's German branch. This initiative continues NOMOS Glashütte's commitment to supporting medical humanitarian work, which has been in place since 2012. The company has previously released similar special editions with sales benefiting Doctors Without Borders.
The Ludwig collection is known for its classic design, featuring Roman numerals and a fine bezel. The special editions include a distinctive red Roman numeral twelve on the dial, symbolizing solidarity and shared humanity. The watches are powered by the automatic caliber DUW 3001, manufactured by NOMOS in Glashütte.
Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian aid organization that provides care in crisis zones and to victims of disasters in over 70 countries. The organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for its work.
